Don’t you just love it when the delivery man comes and delivers a package that you completely forgot you ordered? I certainly do! This package did not disappoint either, not only did I get a box full of makeup but I got a box full of MUA Makeup. My bank account didn’t hate me too much after this binge!
For those of you who don’t know who MUA are. They are a super cheap Makeup Brand here in the UK that are only sold in Superdrug. Their items range from 50p to £5.. and it seems they have got an ongoing sale on! So I picked up a few bits…
When I was shopping on their website, I decided to do a Spring/Summer shop.. Basically lots of colour and glowy goodness! So here is what I got:
Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation
So I got myself a foundation, as I am always on the hunt for cheap yet wonderful ones! I haven’t yet tried this one out, but I am excited to. It is an Illuminating foundation to give me that glowy look (hopefully). I’ll have to let you know how I get on with this one! This one is in the colour ‘Porcelain’.. what can I say? I’m pale!
Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
I love highlighters! I think they can take your makeup to that next level, so I picked one up although I am not sure what the colour is called as it doesn’t say. But it is a lovely pink/champagne colour. I did swatch this on my finger and I really love the colour! Plus the pattern of this is so different!
Eye Shadow Palette – Spring Break
I am so excited about this palette as I am a huge Nude/Neutral freak! I think these colours are timeless and you can’t go wrong with them! There is one matte transition shade and the rest are shimmers, which I am not too fussed about as I love a bit of shimmer! The Colour Names from top left are Refine, Cherub, Amber, Spearmint, Posy, Sorrel, Aurora (can’t quite make that one out), Bronze Blush, Catacomb, Sea Foam, Gold Khaki and Damson. I did swatch some of these colours on my fingers but the camera didn’t quite pick them up as they are so neutral and quite frankly my camera is awful! But they swatch beautifully, I can’t wait to try these!
Eye Shadow Palette – Poptastic
I know what your thinking! WOW right? These are colours that I would have never gone for a few months ago, but as summer is coming up, I thought it might be fun to have a play around with some bold colours! As you can see they swatch beautifully, and my camera actually picked up on them! I’ll be honest I am rather nervous to try these out, but ill get there! & Am I the only one that can see festival written all over these? Well I have got a festival to attend tomorrow ;)
The colours from the Top Left corner are Pizzaz Purple, Cool Cyan, Lime Sizzle, Electric Purple, Gold Mine, Blue Suede, Jade Jazz, Cherry Sour, Atomic Aqua, Shocking Pink, Crystal Blue and Sonic Blue. The colours I swatched were Cool Cyan, Gold Mine, Jade Jazz and Cherry Sour. Did I hear you say pigmented? Hell yes!
Are you ready for this?
Lip Boom – Ok.com
Apparently Ok.com is the colour, if you were wondering! It is a gorgeous nude lipstick in the bottom, and a highlighting gloss on top. The Matte Nude Lipstick on the bottom is gorgeous! I love a beige nude over a pink nude, and this is perfect for me! The highlighting gloss however, I was a little disappointed by. It shows up as a beautiful peachy pink, but when I applied it, it was simply clear and sparkly with possibly the slightest pink tinge, pretty much unnoticeable. I don’t mind too much though, as it is still a gorgeous lipstick!
Lip Switch Matte Shine Duo – Coral Pink
So summer to me is a lot of coral pinks and reds! I went on a major coral hunt and boy did I find! This first product is just like the Lip Boom although instead of a highlighting glittery gloss, it is jut a regular gloss that has pigment! Thank God! I actually shocked myself at how much I love the colour, but i’m happy that I’ve tried it as I have now realised just how gorgeous corals are!
Power Pout – Runaway
So this chunky pen looking thing is something I haven’t tried yet, so when it came through the post it was the first thing I picked up. From the first application you can just tell how moisturising it is, and the colour is gorgeous. It is a sheer red colour, definitely worth the buy & I’m sure I will be getting more of these beauties! I don’t think that it will be one of those balms that last, but only time will tell!
Sweet Sheen Lip Balm – Coral Reef
This is very similar to the Power Pout in formula, very sheer and moisturising! The colour is gorgeous! It says it is a coral colour but I would say it was more pink coral than orange coral.. Not that I am bothered! I can’t wait to try this more!
Matte Lipstick – Peachy Keen
I’ve got to say that I think this one is a bit of a game changer for me.. The colour is beautiful. Very similar to that in the Lip Switch Duo, but slightly lighter. I did say that the matte lipsticks weren’t my favourites as they are quite stiff and drying.. Yet this one seemed easier to apply. Even better!
Out There Plumping Lip Gloss – Sienna
I’ve told you that I love these lip glosses, so I picked up another summery coloured one. This one is very much an orange shimmery gloss. It’s gorgeous! Perfect over my ‘Peachy Keen’ when i need that glossy effect!
Immense Kisses Lip Gloss – Smooch
This is a true orange! I bought this so that I could turn my regular pink lipsticks into a coral, or my reds more corally. I haven’t tried it yet, but I even love this on its own!
F7 Small Fan Brush
I love MUA’s selection of brushes as they are so cheap, and the few I have I love! I picked up this cute little fan brush to accompany my new highlighter, I thought it would be really good at just dusting some of that glow on the tops of my cheekbones! Plus it is so silky smooth!
F9 Flat Top Buffer Brush
I have wanted to buy this brush for so long! This to me is the perfect contour brush and it is so dense that I don’t think you will have any problems with blending! This was my most expensive buy at £5! So pretty!
That is everything I believe! I hope you enjoyed, and if you have tried any of these products out please let me know what you know what you think!
Until next time,
